IMPROVE YOUR PRONUNCIATION AND INTONATION WITH TV SERIES

 

Hey student! In this post, I am going to show you how you can improve your pronunciation and intonation in English with TV series.

YOU DON’T NEED NETFLIX

Yep! You got this right! It is ok if you don’t have Netflix. You can practice your English while watching TV series on YouTube. You can use YouTube to find TV shows to practice pronunciation and intonation. Don’t worry, I will show you exactly how to do it! And it can be any show you want.

To help you, I am going to show you a step-by-step process of how to do it

STEP 1

Go on youtube and on the search bar, follow the steps below. You have to click on the filter icon (number 3) and search for short videos only.

Step 2

You  should see results of short scenes from the TV show you typed. If you filtered correctly, you should only get 4-minute videos.

 

Step 3

Now it is time to watch the show! Play the video and activate the subtitle if necessary.

it is time to practice repetition! Try to imitate the speakers and how they pronounce the phrases. If necessary, lower the speed of the video. And this is how you are going to practice your pronunciation and intonation in English. Focus on imitating the characters and speaking like them as much as possible!
